What we publish
NeuroCompare publishes structured comparisons of independent UK providers of adult ADHD and autism assessments, plus plain-English guides on funding routes (Right to Choose, NHS shared care), waiting times and choosing a provider. We do not publish clinical advice, treatment recommendations or content tied to a specific medication brand.
Where information comes from
- Provider websites — primary source for prices, services, locations, formats and waiting times. We capture the URL and date of every data point.
- Direct provider submissions — providers may submit corrections via the channel set out in our listing & corrections policy. Submitted data is checked against public sources before publication.
- Public records — Companies House, CQC public register, GMC public register, NHS England commissioning data.
- Reputable journalism — UK national media (e.g. BBC, Guardian, FT, HSJ) for context on funding and policy.
Independence
- Editorial decisions about which providers to list, how to describe them, and how to rank organic comparisons are made independently of any commercial relationship.
- A provider cannot pay to improve their organic ranking, change their displayed price, hide negative information, or be marked as "verified".
- Sponsored placements are visually separated, labelled Sponsored, and never replace the organic comparison list. See affiliate & sponsorship disclosure.
Updating & correcting information
- Provider headline data (price, formats, waiting time) is reviewed at least quarterly.
- If we discover a material error we correct it within 5 working days and add a note where the change is significant.
- Providers can request a correction at any time — see our listing & corrections policy.
AI-generated content
The matcher uses an AI model to rank providers against your stated preferences. It is a ranking and explanation tool only — it does not assess clinical suitability, diagnose, or generate medical content. Any free-text explanation it produces is grounded in the structured provider data published on this site.
Who writes the content
Editorial content is written and reviewed by the NeuroCompare team. We are not clinicians and we do not present ourselves as such. Where a topic touches on clinical practice (e.g. titration, shared care) we cite the underlying NHS, NICE or professional-body guidance and link to it.
