Not medical advice

Medical disclaimer

Read this carefully before relying on anything you see on NeuroCompare.

NeuroCompare is not a healthcare service

NeuroCompare is a commercial comparison and signposting website. We help UK adults compare independent private providers of ADHD and autism assessments. We are not:

  • a healthcare provider, clinic, hospital, telehealth service, GP surgery or pharmacy;
  • registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, the RQIA (Northern Ireland), the General Medical Council (GMC), the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or any other healthcare regulator;
  • regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA);
  • authorised to give a clinical opinion, diagnose any condition, prescribe or recommend medication, or refer you to any service.

Nothing here is medical advice

All content on this site — including comparison tables, guides, FAQs, AI matcher output, blog posts and city pages — is general information only. It is not personal medical advice, not a clinical recommendation, and not a substitute for consultation with a qualified clinician who knows your full history.

The matcher tool ranks providers based on the criteria you choose (price, location, format, NHS shared-care policy, etc.). It does not assess your symptoms, suitability for assessment, suitability for medication, or any clinical question.

Always verify with the provider and your clinician

  • Prices, waiting times, accepted age ranges, ICB shared-care arrangements and Right-to-Choose status change frequently. Verify directly with the provider before booking.
  • Speak to your GP or a qualified clinician about whether an assessment is appropriate for you, and about any decision to start, change or stop medication.
  • Do not delay seeking medical advice because of something you read on NeuroCompare.

If you are in crisis

NeuroCompare cannot help in an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent mental-health support call NHS 111 and select the mental-health option, or contact the Samaritans on 116 123 (free, 24/7) or text SHOUT to 85258.

Children and young people

NeuroCompare is intended for adults (18+) seeking information about adult ADHD and autism services. Information about provider services for under-18s is included where the provider offers it, but parents and carers must take additional care to verify safeguarding, age-suitability and clinical credentials directly.

Reporting safety concerns about a provider

Concerns about clinical safety, conduct or regulatory compliance of a private provider should be reported to the relevant regulator (e.g. the CQC for service quality in England, the GMC for individual doctors). NeuroCompare cannot investigate clinical complaints. We will, however, review the information shown on a listing — see our listing & corrections policy.
