Independent evidence to help you compare NHS Right to Choose and private ADHD and autism assessment and care — providers, waiting times, prices, prescribing and shared care, with the evidence behind the numbers.
Same-dayProvider can see a new patient today, if you book before their daily cut-off (usually 11am UK).
Next-dayProvider can see a new patient tomorrow. Same-day badges automatically switch to next-day after the cut-off time passes.
📅Within a weekProvider can see a new patient in the next 2–7 days.
Badges only show when the provider has updated their availability in the last 3 days. After that they hide automatically until the provider refreshes.
Why don't all providers have a CQC badge? Since 26 March 2026, CQC guidance is that providers who only diagnose ADHD or autism — without providing any treatment — do not need to register with CQC. Providers who prescribe medication do need to register, because prescribing counts as treatment. So a missing CQC badge on an assessment-only provider usually means the regulator's rules don't apply to them, not that anything is wrong. Sources: treatment of disease, disorder or injury and diagnostic and screening procedures.
